A brewery project is not just about buying equipment. It is about turning a production plan into a working brewery.
Recently, we completed a 1,000L brewery project in France. It was a new brewery built from zero.
The customer already had a suitable building, a clear budget and detailed equipment requirements. He was also experienced, so the discussions about production, space, brewing frequency, beer styles, fermentation, packaging and future expansion were very smooth. The customer was introduced to us by another French customer.
For the first stage, we supplied a 1,000L two-vessel brewhouse with a natural gas boiler, four 1,000L fermenters and the complete supporting system, including the hot water tank, glycol cooling system, CIP, control system and keg washing and filling equipment.
There was an interesting part during installation.
The customer originally wanted us to send an engineer to France. To help him save this cost, we carefully marked every pipe, valve and connection before shipment. We also prepared detailed installation instructions and provided real-time video support during installation.
In the end, the customer installed the brewery successfully by himself and saved the engineer's cost. He was very happy with the result.
Later, the customer started the second stage of the project. He added eight 2,000L fermenters and a small 100L brewing system for recipe testing.
At that time, shipping costs were extremely high, and the 2,000L fermenters took up a lot of container space. We redesigned the tank dimensions and made several custom changes so the fermenters could stand inside the container.
As a result, the shipment was reduced from two containers to one, saving the customer about half of the freight cost.
For us, a brewery project is not finished when the equipment leaves the factory. Good equipment design should also consider installation, transportation, operating space and future expansion.
This is how we work at Shandong LD Machinery CO., LTD.
